When it comes to oven cleaning the chemicals we use are very toxic, so what I suggest if you do it your own, to use a very good mask like the one I wear in the photo and open as much as windows you can to ventilate the room you are in. Also googles to protect your eyes, cloves and long sleeves to protect your skin.
Most companies write on the chemical label to use the product and wait for 10 or 15 minutes, but I suggest at least one hour to make your job easier as to clean the oven is a very hard task.
